Jeanne has recently relocated to the Orlando area from New Jersey where she has run her "cottage industry" Slipcover business for over 25 years. Having been taught old world sewing techniques by her grandmother, Gertrude (born 1893), from the time Jeanne was a small child; it was only natural that her passion for sewing would lead her to a career in the field.
The scope of Jeanne's sewing experience ranges from fabricating soft furnishings for Bed and Breakfast Inns in Cape May; to teaching women to sew curtains and choir uniforms in Africa; to making period costumes for renaissance faires; to crafting yoga mat bags from recycled jeans and meditation cushions; to completing room designs which appeared in Woman's Day Magazine as well as Decorator Show Houses.

In addition to sewing, Jeanne's other passion is yoga. Teaching for over 5 years she has incorporated sewing into the discipline by recycling jeans into yoga mat bags and fabricating meditation cushions, eye pillows, etc. The yoga journey has enhanced her awareness of form, detail, imagination and creativity.

The creativity just keeps flowing and another artistic phase is born. Discarded furniture is recycled, by decorative painting, with inspiration often coming from fabric designs. In keeping with the theme of Home Fashions and her love of painting, Jeanne's entreprenaurial spirit has given birth to an offshoot of Slipcovers and Home Fashions, www.refindfurnishings.com . To date Jeanne has participated in a number of art shows and has recently launched a new website featuring painted furniture.
